Honed is a finish for stone or marble with the irregularities eliminated, showing only very fine scratches, hardly visible to the eye, split is a Rough finish with the central part protruding above edges. Bush Hammered is a Finish obtained by hitting the stone with a bush hammer a special hammer with a grooved head comprised of 16 to 64 teeth which leaves a rough but consistent grid texture of 1 to 3 mm deep, brushed is a Rustic finish obtained by rubbing the surface with plastic and metallic brushes. Rough Honed is a Finish with a smooth surface and some fine stripes, 0, 1 to 0. ROCAMAT provides french limestone, marbles, and granite for the home and buildings. french limestone 2 mm deep, of unspecified direction, tooled is a Flat finish composed of fine parallel ribbing, 1 to 2 mm deep, between which the ridge has a rough split texture.
Flamed is a Flat finish, slightly roughened, obtained by passing a high temperature jet of flame over the rough face, the thermal shock splits off the surface grains.   
Mechanically Chiseled is obtained by the following way, a bush hammer fitted with Chisels attacks the sawn slab, perpendicularly to the surface, giving the finish its characteristic flat profile, the machine' s automatic feed ensures that the textures are parallel and regularly spaced, approximately 25 grooves per dm.
