Blocks are raw products extracted from quarries and destined to be manufactured, a part of extracted blocks without imperfections are sold to stone manufacturers such as stone masons, marbles or granites sawyers.
Blocks with small imperfections and small size blocks are used to produce small size finished products, slabs are semi-finished products with 2 parallel faces sawn, obtained from a process of sawing blocks.

Usually two kinds of slabs are distinguished, thin slabs and thick slabs.
A part of thin slabs are sold to masonry manufacturers, and thick slabs to stone masons, precut, parallelepiped stone made from the process of sawing blocks, and rubbles, massive stone with a rough finish of which the central part protruding above edges, are used to build load-bearing wall or self-supporting cavity wall.
