2 mm deep, of unspecified direction, tooled is a Flat finish composed of fine parallel ribbing, 1 to 2 mm deep, between which the ridge has a rough split texture.
Flamed is a Flat finish, slightly roughened, obtained by passing a high temperature jet of flame over the rough face, the thermal shock splits off the surface grains.
Mechanically Chiseled is obtained by the following way, a bush hammer fitted with Chisels attacks the sawn slab, perpendicularly to the surface, giving the finish its characteristic flat profile.

In 1898, the name Civet Fils et Cie changed into Civet Pommier et Cie, In 1927, the name changed to Carrières et Scieries de France,The company acquired the old facilities Dubourdieu and Pagani in 1963, in 1971, the name of company finally became Rocamat and the company acquired Société industrielle et commerciale des marbres, pierres et granits SICMPG In 1976, its shareholder, Promopierre from Dervillé, Marbres Français and Fèvre & Cie take the operational control of Rocamat.
In 1998, Rocamat acquired Cominex, the granite importer, 'A major player in the production of building stone at international level, Rocamat sells materials extracted from its own quarries and transformed in its own factories to the construction market.
