Rehabilitation: Fontbelle stone covers the Image Campus in Angoulème

The Magelis Image Pole is an ecosystem focused on digital creation, video games and IT. Polycor contributed to the creation of L'Atelier, designed by the architectural firm Atelier du Trait, by providing a limestone extracted in the region: the stone of Fontbelle. It adorns the massive stone facade 50 cm thick. The stone contributes to the authenticity of this rehabilitation and to the energy performance of the building.

The Fontbelle stone is extracted in the Polycor quarry in La Rochebeaucourt located 30 km from Angoulême.

“The inertia of stone and concrete allows a strong reduction in the use of air conditioning.
Lime whitewash, massive freestone and corten steel are the main materials. From an environmental point of view, we can qualify this project as exemplary. "
