Promenade Sainte Catherine: a new district located in downtown Bordeaux
The architectural firm VALODE & PISTRE has produced a contemporary project that fits into a historical urban and architectural context.
The project uses materials and colors constituting a continuum with the rest of the protected area, arches in light bricks and rubble for the foundations, wooden clapboards for the superstructures of the housing associated with roofs of terracotta channel tiles.
Blond stone for the SIREUIL stone facades: 1260m² of 6-sided sawn, 156m² of exploded rubble and 167m3 of dressed stone for the elevations and angles.
