Banque Nationale de France in Paris redesigned with Euville and Massangis stones

BNF renovation project: the Banque Nationale de France in Paris has a new look in Euville and Massangis stones

Entrusted by the Ministry of Culture and Communication and the Ministry of National Education to the Bruno GAUDIN agency, combining renovation of historic parts, extension and reorganization.

At the entrance, the reception with contemporary design in UVILLE stone. Then in the interior courtyard, access and ground in vertical and horizontal, creation of stylized side benches with a porch and steps.

The interior rotunda unfolds on a gallery magnified by sculpted stone panels. Old doors were obscured and replaced by new panels carefully carved and installed by the companions of the COBA company. Several molded entablatures rise in the gallery and the entrance. An imprint of each old module was made by our client in order to reproduce the molded entablatures identically, punctuated by a marble stone medallion. ROCAMAT delivered the raw modules, cut in a thickness of 30-40-50 cm, the upper cornice and plinths in the lower part.
The floor of the vestibule, 350 m² is in MASSANGIS stone 40 × 40 cm and 20 × 40 cm thick. 2 cm with round cabochons.
