Château Thuerry

Villecroze, France

Natural stone dresses the cellar of the Château Thuerry estate

This unique wine estate whose origins date back to the Templars. While visiting the cellar, you will notice that the exterior facade is dressed in brick facing in natural stone from LENS. This stone, extracted from our quarry in Provence, was chosen by architects Xavier Leibar and Jean-Marie Seigneurin.

“The last step, which consists of loading the trucks for shipment, is done in the hall which opens in the center of the south facade. The recessed wall is covered with stones from Lens, paired into thin plates; they have the advantage of not storing heat in the sun.
Apart from two technical areas, all the rooms open onto a hall with stone walls
from Lens. "
