Natural stone embellishes a flagship project in downtown Antony
The project for the new market square in Antony, led by the promoter Linkcity, is part of a sustainable development approach. The space formerly occupied by the Firmin Gémier theater has been designed to become an elegant, friendly, emblematic square, reserved for pedestrians, without cars, where the inhabitants can meet and relax at a restaurant or café terrace at any time. of the day.
The design of the project, which includes 20 apartments with contemporary architecture and 4 commercial spaces on the ground floor, was entrusted to the architectural firm Tom Darmon Architecture. To dress up and embellish the whole, the choice of the exterior covering fell on the Sebastopol stone, extracted in our Saint-Vaast quarry in Oise.
Delivered in 2021, this residential and commercial complex is already fully integrated into the neighborhood. The building is also labeled "high environmental quality" and RT 2020.
“The building affirms its presence through its materiality in stone and through its minimal, elegant volumetry, which can be read as a hollow mass, or as an architectonic superimposition of massive volumes (separating stone cellars) supporting horizontal slabs. Their linearity is emphasized by the protrusion of the slab noses. These stone bands become more refined on each floor, throwing the facade skyward. »
