Residence the Champ de Mars

Vienna, France

An exemplary rehabilitation that rhymes with ecology

The Champ de Mars residence is proof that the possibilities for optimizing existing buildings are considerable. In the heart of the city of Vienne (38), this rehabilitation of 274 social housing units dating from 1955 has made it possible to reduce the energy label, initially located in class E, to class B and C.

To rehabilitate the outdoor spaces, the developer Advivo and the Atelier d'Architecture Paris & Associés relied on natural stone. The dressing of the facade is made here in Massangis Jaune stone with a thickness of 2cm, placed on a fixing system for cladding. This aesthetic, ecological and excellent thermal insulation coating offers architectural freedom and a sustainable dimension to rehabilitation projects.

This exemplary rehabilitation operation received the 2019 Social Housing Prize, awarded by the Le Progrès Group and the Bear club.

“Our work on existing buildings has allowed us to acquire extensive experience in rehabilitation / restructuring, restoration and new construction. This diversity of eras constitutes the richness of our cities. The extensions or buildings that we build are resolutely contemporary in order to participate in the regeneration of its spaces which must meet the needs of the moment. »
