Révélations Residence

Nantes, France

Reconversion in the heart of Nantes: a heritage highlighted by limestone.

The Révélations project in Nantes is an example of a unique reconversion designed to meet the new expectations of the population in terms of city living.

From a mineral and closed place - the project is located on the site of the former remand center - the residence will offer accommodation that is oriented around gardens located in the center of the buildings. To subtly embellish the strong architectural identity of the building, the architects' choice naturally fell towards limestone. The Massangis Beige Clair stone marketed by Polycor will dress the facades buildings to harmonize with the preserved heritage elements (the porch and the old Registry pavilion).

The project is led by ALTAREA Cogedim Atlantique with the architects DTACC Architects and Tandem +.

“What is a prison? A perimeter wall without opening but which outlines the streets, a closed “prison” interior space. Transgress this perception. Drill and bring the surrounding wall to life. "
