The People Hostel

Tours, France

In Tours, stone dresses a “new generation” youth hostel

Forget the big spartan dorms, the hostel The People Hostel – Tours has bet on comfort, design and always affordable prices. Designed by the JYB Architecture, Urbanist, Designer agency, the building's contemporary lines bring architectural renewal to the city's longest avenue.

The facade is covered with Tervoux stone, extracted from our Chasseneuil-du-Poitou quarry located 1 hour from the center
of Tours.

The interior decoration, entrusted to the same architect, is also based on a local imprint. The choice was made for a “colour of the Loire” atmosphere in pastel tones inspired by the work of Olivier Debré (1920-1999).

The latter will feel at home in the six-storey building where all the decoration bears on the theme of cycling: We had first thought of castles but the bike seemed more appropriate to us", underlines hostel managers, with Romain Viennois, founder of The People Hostel brand."
