Obelisk in Angoulême in Massangis stone

Monument Souvenir of the disappearance, 40 years ago, of René Goscinny.

The Obelisk was inaugurated by her daughter, Anne Goscinny, on Wednesday January 24, 2017 on the station square in Angoulême.

This is a donation from the Goscinny Institute and the International Comic Strip Festival in the city of Angoulême.

The starting block extracted from the Massangis quarry measured 3.70 x 1 x 1.10 m.
The piece was sculpted and engraved in the workshop of the stonemason: Gaspard LEPELERIE.
The finished Monument has a height of 3.50 ml.
