Silky / Epsilon building: Alstom Transport is adorned with French limestone

Located in Villeurbanne at the Carré de Soie, this building houses Alstom Transport's activities. It accommodates the 800 employees of the site until then spread over 5 buildings. A showcase for French rail technology, it is made up of offices, laboratories, workshops, logistics, showroom and a large capacity company restaurant.

Sud Architectes is building an office building with laboratories, facades covered with stone extracted by Polycor's the stone of Anstrude. La composition de la pierre calcaire, 100% naturelle et minérale, s’adapte parfaitement à des projets exemplaires de construction durable. Les produits de Polycor se retrouvent d’ailleurs sur de nombreux projets HQE et BREEAM comme dans des bâtiments à énergie positive.

This project has obtained double certification: HQE and Breeam Very Good. Epsilon is also the first building in France to benefit from the double HQE and BREEAM Very Good certification, integrating the parameters of the Thermal Regulations 2012 (RT2012). It offers an optimal level of comfort to employees, and consumes 15% less energy compared to
a new standard building. The Epsilon building is built on two basement levels and the entire program develops a total useful area of 36,900 m².
